Today on Good Morning America, Brad Paisley and Jennifer Nettles announced the nominees for the 2006 CMA Awards. Once again, Sara has been selected as a nominee for Female Vocalist of the Year. Other nominees in the category are Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, and Gretchen Wilson. If Sara wins, she will be recognized as Top Female by both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. The 40th Annual CMA Awards airs Monday, Nov. 6 on ABC Television, starting at 7/8c, live from Gaylord Entertainment Center in Nashville.
Comedian Jeff Foxworthy stars in a new CMT sketch comedy series, Foxworthy's Big Night Out, premiering Sept. 1 from 8:30-9:00pm ET/PT. Each week a different country artist will join him for a mix of comedy and live musical performances, taped in front of a studio audience in Atlanta’s Alliance Theater. Sara will try out her comedic skills in the second episode, set to air on Sept. 8. Sara will also perform her current radio single, "You’ll Always Be My Baby."
Earlier this morning, it was announced on Good Morning America that Sara has been chosen for ABC's hit show Dancing with the Stars when it resumes this Fall. Sara is the first country artist to participate in the dance competition, which features live choreographed ballroom dance routines with professional dance partners. Tony Dovolani will partner with Sara as they, along with ten other couples, are judged by an expert panel and viewing public, with results announced each Wednesday. The Fall season premieres Tuesday, September 12 from 8-10pm ET on ABC.
The Eating Disorders Coalition of Tennessee (EDCT) has asked Sara to host the upcoming charity event "Fashion For Every Body," a one-of-a-kind evening featuring a fashion show, silent auction, and intimate performance. The event will be held at Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday, September 17th at 6:00pm. Tickets are available beginning August 11 through Ticketmaster.
While taking a break from her usual hectic touring schedule, Sara recently shot the video for her new single "You’ll Always Be My Baby" near Los Angeles. Kristin Barlowe, of Taillight TV, directed the music video. This is Sara's third video from her Real Fine Place project.
Pianist/producer/composer Jim Brickman will soon release his new CD, Escape, a collection of new solo piano and pop vocal compositions, and which features a special appearance by Sara, among other artists such as Gerald Levert and Marc Antoine. One of the singles being released to Adult Contemporary radio will be "Never Alone" featuring Sara on vocals with lyrics and music by Victoria Shaw and produced by Dan Shea, the musical genius behind Brickman's chart-topping single, "Valentine" (featuring Martina McBride). Jim Brickman's Escape, produced by SLG Records, arrives in stores October 3rd.
Two days after the CMA Music Festival, Sara flew to Los Angeles to join forces with Dr. Phil and music superstars from a variety of genres in "JCPenney Jam...The Concert for America's Kids." The concert seeks to raise awareness of the need for access to quality afterschool programs. Watch for the upcoming CBS Special August 22, and the soon-to-be-released DVD/CD combo package, available exclusively at JCPenney.
After the disappointing finish of "Coalmine" on the country charts, "You'll Always Be My Baby" has been designated as Sara's next single. This marks the fourth single released to radio from her current album Real Fine Place. Unofficial reports have the radio add date as being August 21.
After nearly two years on the road with Brad Paisley, Sara wrapped up the tour last month with an appearance in Darien Lake, NY, which included a special send-off by Brad, complete with many on-stage pranks and surprise images on the video wall. Now Sara is relaxing at her Oregon home before hitting the road again later this month. After nearly a year and a half of touring nonstop, Sara says that she wants to give her kids "a break from the bus and give them a real summer."

Watch for Sara tonight (9pm ET) on ABC Television's "CMA Music Festival: Country Music's Biggest Party," a two-hour network primetime special filmed at last month's CMA Music Fest in Nashville. The program will not only feature Sara's on-stage performance at the Coliseum, but will also feature Amherst, NY resident Sean Marks, with the help of Sara, choosing an engagement ring and proposing to his girlfriend Kristen Wright in front of 50,000 fans.
For those who carry CMT Canada, tune in July 20 at 10pm ET for the concert special "Live and Up Front," a dynamic look at Sara performing some of her biggest hits in an intimate & electric setting. Filmed at Cowboys nightclub in Calgary Alberta during her Canadian tour, Sara performs for an exclusive audience of 105 lucky contest winners from Calgary based radio station Country 105.
In the latest issue of Country Weekly, readers were asked to vote in a special poll to determine which female star best represents the ideal of beauty, and Sara placed second only to Faith Hill. The article describes Sara as the "glamour girl with the perfectly fit body and wild-and-free hairstyle."

Sara took the stage tonight in a surprise appearance with 3 Doors Down as they performed a rare club gig at Nashville's Exit In. The Mississippi-based rock band scheduled the club appearance to prepare for an upcoming tour with Lynyrd Skynyrd. Sara met the band recently when they both performed at a charity concert in Los Angeles, and proudly reveals that she is a fan of the group and their song "Here Without You," which she sang with them at the charity event.
Sara hosts one of the CMA Music Festival's biggest Fan Club parties, drawing more than 600 fans to Nashville's Rocketown. While there, fans could bid on and buy rare memorabilia, with proceeds going to the Sara Evans Fund, which benefits worthwhile causes such as the National Eating Disorders Association. An estimated $3,500 was raised for the foundation.
Katie Cook, host of CMT Insider, announced Saturday that Sara will be joining her from Fan Fair for the upcoming weekend's program. Insider airs on CMT this Saturday, June 10 at 1:30pm ET/PT.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. believes the popularity of its exclusive music label will increase following Sara's selection as Female Vocalist of the Year last week by the Academy of Country Music. Cracker Barrel currently sells Feels Like Home, a 12-song compilation CD of Sara's music, for a retail price of $11.99. Highlights of the album include an acoustic rendition of "No Place That Far" and a live version of "Born to Fly", recorded in Morgantown, WV during the 2004 tour.
On Thursday, June 8 Good Morning America will be reporting live from Nashville with a segment about the CMA Music Festival. Feature correspondent Mike Barz will be on location at Rippy's Smokin' Bar & Grill on Broadway in downtown Nashville, and is scheduled to be joined by Sara, Billy Currington, and Josh Turner.     Tonight in Las Vegas, before a national television audience, The Academy of Country Music announced Sara as its Top Female Vocalist! This is Sara's first Top Female award, and also her first ACM trophy. She beat out Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Gretchen Wilson, and Lee Ann Womack. Prior to tonight, Sara's most prominent honors were the 2001 CMA Award for Video of the Year, and the distinction of being Billboard's Most-Played Female Country Artist of 2004. This is easily the crowning achievement of Sara's career thus far. As stated by Sara upon receiving the award, it's something she's been waiting for her whole life. Upon receiving the award, Sara gave the following acceptance speech: "Oh, my gosh! Thank you so much. I just want to thank God for all the blessings in my life, my husband Craig...the fans, my mom and dad, all my brothers and sisters. I've waited for this my whole life. Thank you, God bless you."
In the current issue of Girls' Life Magazine, Carrie Underwood states that she expects Sara to win Top Female Vocalist at tonight's ACM Awards -- a category in which she is nominated herself. Of Sara, Carrie said that "she seems so nice, and she deserves it." Sara talked about the award on this week's CMT Insider, saying that if she won, she would "really, really break down & cry & make a fool out of (herself)."
Watch for Sara at the 41st Annual ACM Awards Tuesday night (05/23) at 8pm ET/PT on CBS. She is slated to perform her current radio single "Coalmine" and is once again nominated for Top Female Vocalist!
Sara, along with several other contemporary country artists, will participate in a tribute album to Barbara Mandrell, who had 28 top 10 country singles during the '70s and '80s. She Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool: A Tribute to Barbara Mandrell features remakes of such hits as "Sleeping Single in a Double Bed" (sung by Terri Clark), "In Times Like These" (Brad Paisley), and "Crackers" (sung by Sara). The album is due out in stores October 10.
Sara will join many other top country artists in attendance at the 7th Annual Best Cellars Dinner on tonight (05/01) at the Loews Vanderbilt Hotel. The dinner benefits the T.J. Martell Foundation. Tickets are $800 each and include the opportunity to be seated at a table with a chart-topping artist and wine host. Sara is also working with the LAByrinth Theater Company, a non-profit theater in NY, by contributing to their "Celebrity Attic" online fundraising auction event. A signed Texas Rangers jersey bearing the name "Evans" will be up for sale on Ebay from May 5-15.

This week on CMT's Top 20 Countdown, Sara will be counting down the top videos alongside host Lance Smith. During the show, Sara is expected to reveal that she will headline her own tour this Fall. In the meantime, Sara continues her tour with Brad Paisley, as well as doing a string of Canadian dates throughout April with Brooks & Dunn.
Sara has teamed up with Hallmark Gold Crown stores to celebrate motherhood with the release of a new album titled Always There. In preparation for Mother's Day, it is scheduled for an official street date of April 17. The project is designed to be "a musical love letter to all the moms who love unconditionally," Sara said. Highlights include an acoustic version of "Born to Fly," and two newly recorded songs, "You Oughta Know By Now" and "Brooklyn and Austin."
Sara has been invited back to appear as a guest celebrity on Nashville Star, the nation's top-rated country music series. The hit talent search is in its fourth season, airing Tuesdays at 10:00 PM ET/9:00 PM CT on the USA Network. Viewers of episode four (April 4) will be treated to an opening performance by Sara.
First-round voting for the 2006 CMT Music Awards is now complete, and Sara has been named a finalist! She is nominated in the category of Female Video of the Year for "A Real Fine Place To Start". Fans have another chance to cast their vote in this final round by visiting CMT.com. The live broadcast of the awards ceremony is set to premiere April 10 on CMT.
Sara is returning to serve another term as a member of the American Red Cross Celebrity Cabinet. Members promote awareness of Red Cross services by donating their time, skills, passion and energy to help the 125-year-old organization.
It's almost time for the 2006 CMT Music Awards, country's only fan-voted awards show. Sara is nominated in two categories: Female Video of the Year & Hottest Video of the Year, both for "A Real Fine Place To Start". First-round voting is open through Thursday, March 9. Final nominees in each category will be announced March 15, and final voting will begin.
Sara has become an official ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). Although Sara says she has never suffered from an eating disorder, she revealed that her passion for this cause is personal because she almost lost her best friend to anorexia. NEDA, headquartered in Seattle, WA, is the largest not-for-profit organization in the country dedicated to supporting research for the prevention, treatment and cure of eating disorders.

Radio & Records has released its Readers' Poll 2006, and Sara is one of its winners, earning Female Vocalist of the Year honors! R&R toasts Sara by stating that she "is poised to take the reins as country’s top female artist."
On a tour stop in Huntington, WV last night, Sara told a nearly sell-out crowd at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena that "Coalmine" will likely be the next single released to radio. Also her current single, "Cheatin'", is quickly approaching the Top 10.
For the first time in her career, Sara was forced to cancel a scheduled performance due to an illness. This past Thursday, Feb. 9, Sara came down with a case of strep throat, and, following her doctor's orders, bowed out of her spot on Brad Paisley's tour stop in Manchester, NH. Sara was also limited to singing only a couple of songs in Morgantown. Here's to wishing Sara a speedy recovery!
Sara, along with her tourmate Brad Paisley, hosted families of the fallen Sago miners at a sell-out show in Morgantown, WV. The families were given tickets to the concert, transportation, hotel rooms and a special dinner before the show where Sara & Brad met with each family individually. As a gesture of sensitivity, Sara asked the miners' families to be the litmus test for the radio release of "Coalmine". According to Sara, "They totally gave their stamp of approval."
President George W. Bush has officially named Sara as one of 21 new members of the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation. The Council brings together leaders from the worlds of business, entertainment, sports, education, government, nonprofits, & the media to promote and recognize outstanding volunteer service and to raise awareness of the many ways in which Americans can help meet the vital needs of their communities.

John Rich, formerly of Lonestar and current member of the country duo Big & Rich, will be releasing a long-shelved solo album on March 14, titled Underneath the Same Moon. The project features an appearance by Sara on the bluegrass-leaning "Old Blue Mountain", as well as collaborations with current musical partner Big Kenny, the Fairfield Four, and Delbert McClinton.

Sara and Brad Paisley will continue to be tourmates as the highly successful "Time Well Wasted" Tour rolls into 2006. Mercury recording artist Billy Currington will join them as the new opening act on the 17-date tour, which kicks off January 25 in Duluth, MN and continues through the beginning of April.
Sara is featured in the current issue of USA Weekend (Dec. 2-4) as a guest judge for the 2006 USA Weekend Songwriting Contest for Teens sponsored by Billboard Magazine. Sara represents the country music genre and joins fellow artists including singer-songwriter Alicia Keys, rapper Bow Wow, reggae artist Damian Marley and alternative rockers Hoobastank to judge this year’s contest.
According to Billboard.com, Sara's current album Real Fine Place has already achieved Gold status, less than two months after its release date! The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certifies albums as Gold for a net shipment of 500,000 albums.
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. has partnered with Sara to be the exclusive retailer for a compilation CD of her music titled Feels Like Home. Set to be released on December 6, this release will be sold at over 534 Cracker Barrel locations in 41 states and at crackerbarrel.com. The exclusive CD will include a previously unreleased live version of "Born to Fly" and a previously unreleased acoustic version of "No Place That Far." After only five weeks on the charts, Sara's current single "Cheatin'" is #27 on Billboard and #31 on R&R, making "Cheatin'" the fastest rising single of her career! At the rate her singles have been moving up the charts to become hits, RCA head Joe Galante indicated last week that a best-of set is in the works for Sara's music. Galante also said that the next step following a Greatest Hits collection is a headlining tour.
While on a tour stop at the Nokia Theatre in New York City, Sara will be a guest on The Tony Danza Show. The one-hour talk show airs Wednesday, December 7 at 9am ET.
Having only been charting for three weeks, Sara's current radio single, "Cheatin'" has already cracked the Top 40 on R&R. Sara will perform her single before a nationwide audience during next week's CMA Awards on CBS. Also, the music video for "Cheatin'" will premiere Thursday, November 17 on CMT.
A new 12-track instrumental project, Pickin' on Sara Evans: Bluegrass Tribute, is currently available at retailers such as Target and Wal-Mart. The album features bluegrass renditions of Sara's music, with songs such as "Born to Fly," "Suds in the Bucket," and "There's Only One." Well-wishers packed the lobby of Music Row's ASCAP building Wednesday (Nov. 2) to cheer Radney Foster and George Ducas for writing Sara's latest No. 1, "A Real Fine Place to Start." Sara was also on hand to add her voice to the cheering, and to run a gauntlet of TV crews and radio interviewers before the formal proceedings started. In addition to praising the writers, Sara also complimented Mark Bright, co-producer of RFP. Said Bright in return, "I'm more proud of my association with this record than anything I've ever done."
Tune in to NBC this Sunday (November 6) for a glimpse of Sara performing the national anthem during the Coca-Cola Zero Pre-Race Extravaganza leading into the Dickies 500. Sara will also have a chance to include some hits from her new album for the crowd of 200,000--quite possibly the largest crowd of her career. Coming off #1 videos on CMT for Perfect, Suds, & ARFPTS, Sara was home in Nashville yesterday (10/18) to shoot a music video for her next single "Cheatin'." She will be performing the song on Tuesday, November 15 at the 39th Annual CMA Awards at New York's Madison Square Garden. On the radio front, "Cheatin'" will officially be up for adds at the end of this month.
More artists have been announced to sing at next month's CMA Awards, to be held in New York City. Sara is now officially on the list of performers added this week. Meanwhile, Sara continues her TV run, appearing on both Good Morning America and Hannity & Colmes today.
After only one week of sales, Real Fine Place is already a quarter of the way to Gold status! The sales figures are in, with Sara's new album selling 125,725 copies, distinguishing it as the #1 seller on the country chart, and #3 among all genres on the Top 200! This easily represents a career-high week in sales for Sara, nearly tripling the sales of Restless during its debut week.
Sara heads to NYC this week, with scheduled appearances on FOX News Channel's Hannity & Colmes Oct. 11 and ABC's Good Morning America Oct. 12. Also watch for an exclusive interview with Lorianne Crook on GAC's Offstage on Oct. 10 at 9pm ET.
Country Music Television has been giving Sara quite a bit of exposure lately, with appearances on CMT Stacked and this weekend's Insider & Top 20 Countdown (airing Sun. 10/09 @ 11:30am ET/PT). Sara has attended two high-profile social events as of late. On September 11 & 12, she attended Fashion Week in New York City, mingling with celebrities like Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, & Brandy. Then a week later (Sept. 18), Sara attended the premiere of Elizabethtown in Franklin, TN, with actor Orlando Bloom, director Cameron Crowe, and a wide variety of music artists.
Still three weeks away from the release of Sara's new album, the first single from it, "A Real Fine Place to Start," has claimed the #1 spot on the country airplay charts this week!! This is Sara's second #1 hit within the last twelve month, and fourth #1 overall! Congratulations Sara!
The nominations for the 39th annual CMA Awards show are in, and Sara is in the running for Female Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for her contribution to "New Again". Brad Paisley and Lee Ann Womack lead the pack this year with six nominations each. The CMA's will take place November 15 at Madison Square Garden.
Sara will celebrate the release of Real Fine Place with an appearance on ABC-TV’s Good Morning America on Tuesday, October 12. Her concert is part of the morning show’s "Women Rule!"
Coming Home is the title of Lonestar's new project, due in stores September 13, and featuring lovely harmonies and standout vocals from Sara on "I Never Needed You." This marks the first time a female guest vocalist has appeared on a Lonestar song. "Sara's vocals made that song," says Lonestar. "Just took it to another place."

Sara will be performing at the 40th Annual ACM Awards this Tuesday, May 17th at 8:00 PM ET/PT on CBS. CMT has partnered with Habitat for Humanity and Lowe's to build homes for six deserving families. The debut episode features Sara's hometown of Columbia, Mo., where one lucky resident is about to realize her dream of owning a home for the first time. Sara has been selected as one of People Magazine’s "50 Most Beautiful." She is the only country artist on this year's elite list of celebrities. Also, Sara will be featured on Today as the show takes over Nashville’s Bicentennial Mall this morning (April 28) at 7:00am CST.
Sara will join ACR/RCA debut-recording artists, The Wrights, and Arista Nashville superstar Alan Jackson as he launches his much-anticipated 2005 "What I Do" Tour, kicking off tonight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV. The tour is scheduled to make more than 40 stops this year.
"Country's cool again!" is the subject of an article in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly in which Sara is interviewed about the industry's trend toward a traditional country format. She cites the success of "Suds in the Bucket"--which was tacked on to her last album as a long shot--as proof that the pendulum is swinging back in the general direction of traditional-sounding country. EW reports that in 2004, the genre's album sales improved by 12 percent, versus a meager 1.6 percent for the music industry as a whole.
The Passion of the Christ: Songs CD picked up a Dove award tonight for best "Special Event" album. Sara and Brad Paisley's song, "New Again", was the only track on the project from country artists. The 36th annual Gospel Music Association Awards was held at the Grand Ole Opry.
A broken blood vessel in one of her vocal cords, stemming from a severe case of viral bronchitis, has forced LeAnn Rimes to temporarily relinquish her hosting duties on Nashville Star. While Rimes is recovering, Sara will fill in as host of the national talent competition. The 2005 CMT Music Awards will air tonight (Monday) at 8pm ET/PT. The Pre-Party will air live on CMT beginning 90 minutes prior to the awards show. Sara's Suds video is nominated for "Hottest Video of the Year."

Sara appeared on tonight's CBS Evening News in a special report concerning the negative impact of illegal peer-to-peer file sharing. Sara discussed how this theft of intellectual property hurt the entertainment industry. The broadcast also showed her playing her guitar in the recording studio, and singing a song from the yet-to-be-released album.
The second round of performers has been set for the 40th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, with Sara named to the list of talent. The telecast will air live from Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas Tuesday, May 17th at 8:00 PM ET/PT on CBS.
Sara will guest star on tonight's (March 22) installment of the USA Network's Nashville Star (10/9C). This will be Sara's second guest appearance on the talent search.
The first round votes have been tabulated, and now the final ballots are being cast in country music's only fan-voted awards show. Sara has advanced to the final round for the CMT 2005 Music Awards. Vote now for her to win "Sexiest Video", and watch CMT for the results on April 11.
Sara took part in an energized concert yesterday (March 3) at the RCA Label Group boat show. The show, one of the key events of Country Radio Seminar Week in Nashville, took place on the General Jackson showboat. First round nominees for this year's CMT Music Awards have been announced, and voting is underway on cmt.com. "Suds in the Bucket" is nominated for the "Hottest Video of the Year." The 2005 CMT Music Awards will air Monday, April 11 at 8pm ET/PT.
According to the Tennessean, when the international crew of Expedition 10 blasted off in October, they did so with a bunch of CDs, and it seems that Sara's music was represented in the mix. Apparently, crew members "really dig her stuff." So much so, in fact, that they called her this morning to tell her all about it. NASA Commander Leroy Chiao, who is fluent in Russian, translated for cosmonaut Salizhan Sharipov, a colonel in the Russian air force.
Watch for Sara this morning on NBC's Today Show, as she salutes a husband-wife military couple heading back to Iraq. Sara will join NBC's Al Roker at Fort Campbell for her first appearance on Today. She will perform twice: during the 8:30am ET segment and again during the 9:00am ET hour.

The "Mud & Suds" tour is now in high gear, with Sara, Brad, and Andy making stops throughout the country. Thus far, every show has been a sellout! Recent additions include Saginaw, MI on Febrary 25 and Erie, PA on March 4. More dates may be announced later.
Sara will congratulate newly re-elected President George W. Bush tonight on the eve of his inauguration. She is part of the entertainment at the Black Tie & Boots Ball, held at the Marriott Wardman Hotel. Sara's will perform immediately prior to Bush's speech. Sara and husband Craig will also attend the inauguration the next day. This is Sara's seventh time to meet the President.
According to Billboard Radio Monitor's year-end tallies, Sara ranks as the most-played female country artist of 2004! On top of that, her two-week #1, "Suds in the Bucket," ranked as the most-played country single by a female artist last year.
Sara's "Mud & Suds" tour with Brad Paisley and Andy Griggs kicks off tonight in Verona, NY. The tour will continue through early March, then Sara will be on the road with Alan Jackson with his "What I Do" tour. Jackson's tour will also feature the Wrights, a new duo consisting of husband and wife Adam and Shannon Wright.
The American Red Cross has announced 13 new celebrities who will raise awareness of the organization's lifesaving work. One of those celebrities is Sara, who has already appeared in a few television spots with Buddy Jewell, Josh Turner, & Julie Roberts in support of the Red Cross.
In just a matter of months since being declared gold, Restless has now been certified platinum by the RIAA for sales of one million copies! This is Sara's second album to co-produce, and the second to go platinum. She is currently gearing up to hit the road with the entire family--including Audrey--for the "Mud & Suds Tour." The shows get underway in New York state this Friday.

The 2004 Roughstock Country Music Awards have been announced, and Sara is the recipient of Female Artist of the Year and Single of the Year for "Suds in the Bucket." For the past ten years, the Roughstock Network has conducted their fan-voted music awards. This year, Sara managed to edge out Gretchen Wilson for Top Female, and Keith Urban for Top Single. Way to go Sara!
Radio & Record's rankings based on Country Radio Airplay Tracking for the 2004 calendar year has Sara ranked at #2 behind Gretchen Wilson for Top Female Vocalist. Her songs "Perfect" and "Suds in the Bucket" rank at #18 and #19 respectively.
Sara's latest single, "Tonight," debuts on R&R this week at #50. Also this week, "Suds in the Bucket" is the second most played recurrent with 2359 spins.
Sara and songwriters Billy Montana & Jenai were in the center of the cheers for their #1 smash "Suds in the Bucket," during a party hosted by BMI Nashville earlier today. Sara told media that the song almost didn't make it on her album until she insisted that her label drop another song instead. Sara said she just kept telling Craig, "This is a smash. I just know it." Of course, she was right!
Amazing Grace 3 - A Country Salute to Gospel, which features Sara on "Sweet By & By", has been nominated for a Grammy in the Best Southern, Country, or Bluegrass Gospel Album category. The first two compilations in the Amazing Grace series both received Grammys. The 47th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on Sunday, Feb. 13, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast live on CBS from 8–11:30pm EST/PST.
Tour dates for the first quarter of 2005 have been announced, with Sara joining Andy Griggs and headliner Brad Paisley on the "Mud & Suds Tour." The concert series name comes from a combination of Brad's current single, "Mud on the Tires," and Sara's recent #1 hit "Suds in the Bucket." The tour kicks off January 14 in Verona, NY.
Sara has been named a finalist for Female Country Artist of the Year, along with Martina McBride, Shania Twain, & Gretchen Wilson. Sara won this award in 2001 on the merits of her BTF album. Several weeks after RCA held a double-platinum party for Sara, the official word has been released to the press: Born to Fly is a double-platinum selling record! Released four years ago in the Fall of 2000, BTF has been Sara's most successful project to date. And, her current Restless album is well on its way to platinum certification.
Sara fared well on the CMT special 20 Sexiest Women Countdown, coming in as the third sexiest female artist in country music. Shania Twain and Faith Hill were chosen as first and second place respectively.
Sara has been named a recipient of a BMI Country Award for "Perfect," one of the 50 most performed songs of the past year. Sara co-wrote the song with Tom Shapiro and Tony Martin.
Tonight is country music's biggest night, and is hopefully a big night for Sara as well. She is nominated for Top Female Vocalist and will be performing "Suds in the Bucket", marking the first CMA performance to be delivered by Sara since 2001. The CMA Awards airs at 8 PM/ET on CBS.
Sara appears in two new magazines this week. In a press release earlier today, it was announced that Sara has been added as a performer at the 38th Annual CMA Awards, airing at 8:00 PM/EST, Tuesday, Nov. 9 on CBS. Sara will perform her smash radio hit "Suds in the Bucket." Brooks & Dunn will host this year's CMA Awards.
Sara and Craig's third child has arrived! This morning (Oct. 6) at around 8 a.m., Sara gave birth to a healthy baby girl at a Nashville hospital. The baby, named Audrey Elizabeth, weighed 7 pounds and measured 20½ inches long. And proving her work ethic, it is reported that Sara spent Tuesday (Oct. 5) in a Nashville recording studio singing demos for her forthcoming album.
After moving into the top position for spins on Mediabase over the weekend, it is now official: "Suds in the Bucket" is a #1 single! Billboard and R&R announced the news today, making this the first #1 off Sara's Restless album, and the third of her career!
The San Francisco Bay Area was treated to a call-in interview with Sara this morning. The interview took place with Rick & Robin of 95.7 FM The Bear. Sara said she has been in the studio this week working on demo's for the new album, despite her due date being today! Sara also said that she will go into labor by no later than Wednesday.

This morning on CBS/CMT, the nominations for the 2004 CMA Awards were made public. Sara has received a nomination for Top Female Vocalist! The other nominees in this category include the reigning CMA queen, Martina McBride, along with Terri Clark, Alison Krauss, and Reba McEntire.
An invitation to perform at the upcoming Republican National Convention in New York City has been issued to Sara, along with other notable entertainers such as Dana Glover, the Gatlin Brothers, & Michael W. Smith. Sara has been asked by Vice President Dick Cheney to perform BTF just before the keynote address on Wednesday, September 1. The RNC kicks off on Monday, August 30.
This past Monday, RCA threw Sara an intimate dinner at Morton's of Chicago Steakhouse in honor of Restless going Gold. While speaking to others in attendance, Sara stated that if her third child is a boy, she & Craig will name him Whitaker. His nickname? "Nit Whit," she joked.
In an article titled "Tour hits partisan chords," the USA Today spotlighted the multi-artist Vote for Change Tour which includes entertainers who wish to unseat President Bush in the upcoming election. In contrast, the article goes on to list Sara and Lee Ann Womack as Bush supporters, and also mentions that she will be performing and/or campaigning for his re-election bid.
For the first time in her career, Sara will grace the cover of Country Weekly (Aug. 31 issue). The magazine will be on newsstands August 17. The photo shoot and interview for this feature took place amid mountains of boxes as Sara, Craig, Avery, & Olivia had just moved into their new home the day before.
Sara and her husband Craig attended last week's President Dinner in Washington D.C. where Sara sang "Amazing Grace" prior to President Bush's speech. After she finished her rendition, the President enthused, "I love the voice of Sara Evans!"

Tonight at her concert in Philadelphia, MS, Sara announced from the stage that RCA has decided to release "Tonight" as the next single from her Restless CD. No word yet on when the single should hit radio.
Sara recently joined Brad Paisley to write, produce, and record a song entitled "New Again" for an upcoming album of music inspired by the film "The Passion of the Christ." The list of performers on the project, which reads like a who's who from all musical genres, includes Sara & Brad as its only country acts. The blockbuster film and album will hit stores August 31.
In less than a year since its release date, Sara's Restless album has just been certified Gold by the RIAA for sales of 500,000 units! Congratulations to Sara and producer Paul Worley!
Sara and her brother Matt will be appearing on CMT Insider tonight (July 16) at 11:00pm ET/PT. This is the second time so far this month that Sara has been featured on Insider.
Sara has been invited to perform the National Anthem tomorrow (July 11) prior to Tropicana 400 at Chicagoland Speedway. Sara will appear on the Grand Ole Opry tonight and will sing "Sweet By & By," which she recently recorded in the studio for the Amazing Grace 3 project. Although the performance will not be televised, it will be broadcast on WSM radio or via streaming audio through their website.
Sara & Craig appeared together on today's broadcast of Pat Robertson's The 700 Club on CBN. The couple shared about their faith, their expanding family, and Craig's involvement with American Destiny.
Sara returns to her Gospel roots on a new compilation, Amazing Grace 3: A Country Salute To Gospel, which will be released June 15. She performs the standard, "Sweet By And By" on the album, which also includes performances of gospel favorites by artists like Keith Urban, Josh Turner, Joe Nichols and Trace Adkins.
Sara has been chosen to co-host CMT's upcoming special, "100 Greatest Love Songs" during CMA Festival Week in Nashville June 9. She will also perform during the telecast. The show, which will be taped at Nashville's Gaylord Entertainment Center, will air as part of a six-hour special beginning June 13.

Sara has joined with Clear Channel Radio and others to promote the National Moment of Remembrance on this Memorial Day. Sara recorded her rendition of "On This Day" as a musical tribute to honor America's fallen. At 3pm, following a moment of reflection, Sara's version of "On This Day" will be played on radio stations nationwide.
The Annual ACM Awards will be broadcast tonight (Wednesday) at 8pm ET/PT on CBS. Sara will perform her current radio single "Suds in the Bucket", and will hopefully take home the trophy for Top Female Vocalist!
The Tennessean reported the surprising news in today's paper that Sara & Craig are expecting! The paper reports that if viewers notice a little bump in Sara's belly at tomorrow's ACM's, it's not because the "diet/fitness-crazed diva is backsliding." Rather, she is already six months pregnant. Sara tells writer Peter Cooper that it was an accident, and that this will be their last child.
Following CMT's 100 Greatest Country Love Songs, a multiartist concert will be held at the Gaylord Entertainment Center which features entertainers, authors & speakers, and, of course, many country artists. Sara will spend part of her Thanksgiving weekend with Fox TV and radio personality Sean Hannity as he thanks his fans at a special holiday party November 29 at New York’s famed Rainbow Room. Sara, who has appeared on Hannity’s television show, "Hannity and Colmes," three times, will perform a concert for his loyal radio audience during the festive event. While in New York, Sara will also stop by to visit the #1-rated cable morning news show, "Fox And Friends" (weekdays 6:00-8:00 am CST), where she will perform her current single.
Both Sara and her sister Lesley Evans Lyons sing the praises of a simple, natural diet which they say anyone can "just jump right into." Sara has used it to perfection, having already lost 70 pounds since the birth of Olivia in January, and Lesley (a mother of four) is 30 pounds slimmer since starting this diet. Sara has been asked to perform the Anthem several times lately, including at the Pepsi 400 back in July, at a Seattle Mariners game at the end of August, and soon to be before a Tennessee Titans home game on November 16.
Country Music Today has printed a blurb in the Nov/Dec issue, already on stands, which pictures Sara and her new "accessory". She is quick to point out that having her nose pierced was one of the most painful things she's ever done in her life, and she discourages young fans from imitating her fashion statement.

Sara and Craig Schelske were married on September 25, 1993, and have been blessed with a happy, stable marriage and two adorable children. The Saints & Angels would like to wish them both a Happy 10th Anniversary!
"Perfect" received 24 adds this week, coming in second only to Trace Adkins' current release "Hot Mama". Sara's new single breaks onto the R&R Country Chart at #50.
The radio release date for Sara's second single, "Perfect", from her current Restless project is set for Monday, September 8. Begin calling your local radio station to request "Perfect", in addition to voting for the video on CMT.com.
After a six month rise up the charts, "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus" has capped off at #16 on the Radio & Records country chart. Soon begins the rise to the top of Sara's next single "Perfect".

Sara's next radio single is called "Perfect." The video for the song was shot in the desert outside Los Angeles, at El Mirage Dry Lake Bed. Actor William Fitchner ("Blackhawk Down," "Pearl Harbor," "Contact") plays Sara's love interest. Watch for the debut of the latest video this Saturday at 7 P.M. ET/PT on CMT!
After one week of sales, RCA has announced a #3 debut for Restless on the Billboard Country album chart and a Top 20 debut on the Top 200 pop chart. The first-week sales of 44,283 are Sara's best showing ever! This figure is almost double that of the debut numbers for the nearly-platinum selling, Born To Fly.
Craig Dunn has done a fantastic job of revamping the page, just in time for Tuesday's arrival of the new album. The site now features the new images from the Restless photo shoot, as well as reflecting many of the suggestions offered by Sara's Saints & Angels, particularly in relation to the Fan Club.
On the same day as the release of Sara's fourth album, her record label has also released I've Always Been Crazy - A Tribute to Waylon Jennings. The album features a duet of the Waylon & Willie classic "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys", performed by Sara & Deana Carter.
