As competitive as the country music industry has become, an artist can't afford NOT to have adequate representation on the world wide web. It's not enough to create billboards announcing a concert, or rely on country radio to spread the word. The internet now rivals television as the quintessential tool for obtaining and disseminating information to the masses. Forums and fan sites are scattered all over the net, comprising a marketplace of ideas relating to performers and their work. What is discussed on the web reveals what the public is discussing at the dinner table. For an artist to become a household name, they must first have a name on the internet, and sufficient presence to generate interest from new fans.

This website is an attempt to convey not merely what I think about Sara, but how a host of her fans feel about her as a singer, songwriter, wife, and mother of three. My goal is to spotlight the career and the life of Sara Evans: by way of text, audio, and graphics. By placing all of this at your fingertips, it is my hope that new & veteran fans alike will feel a certain measure of "home" here, for it is ultimately a site FOR THE FANS. It is a place to make friends through the forum, or read the concert experiences of others for a taste of the unparalleled rush of attending a performance by Sara.

For quite some time, I have felt a close sense of community with other fans through boards related to Sara. May this site--through its gallery of fan photos, Sunday night chats, weekly trivia contests, and daily forum discussions--also foster such a community, in which each one has his or her place in the group, and thrives in the support network that has been started as a way of rallying around Sara Evans. We are literally spread out from coast to coast, representing a wide range of ages, and occupations, yet we all have our place at the same table…..and in the Meet & Greet line!

One of the joys of putting together a site such as this, in addition to promoting Sara, has been meeting so many fascinating people from across the country, including even my wife, Tiffany. I am grateful to be part of such a wonderful community of Sara fans (aka "Saints & Angels") who I have bonded with over the past couple of years through literally thousands of posts and e-mails. It is my desire that Sara-Online.Net will be a close-knit network of friends who can stop in daily to get the latest scoops on Sara's career, engage in high-level discussions of various aspects of all things related to Sara, chat by IM, e-mail, or phone on the side; and even meet face-to-face at concerts.
