Ed Johnson of Boulder Creek, CA

Ed JohnsonFIRST a little bit about me. I'm probably in the oldest age category of Sara fans. I grew up (in New York) listening to country music because my dad liked it. I kind of became addicted and used to listen to the Opry remotes from high power AM stations of the time; WCKY in Cincinnati and WWVA in Wheeling, West Virginia when the "skip" was in (you have to be pretty old to know what I'm talking about). By the time I was a teenager, I was a musician and interested in jazz. Since then I have come to enjoy good music in whatever form it materializes. I like to say my taste runs from Beethoven to Buddy Miller.

I first discovered Sara on GAC. I was channel surfing and came across Sara singing "No Place That Far". My reaction was and in the order I'm writing it:

Wow, what a pretty girl!
Wow, what a voice!
Wow, that's a great song!

Within days I had read every piece of information I could find on the internet and had both of Sara's CD's. When "Born To Fly" was released, I was in Tower Records on the first day having a clerk go through their stockroom to find it since it wasn't even on the shelf yet.

The whole Sara package is awesome. After I met her at a M&G for the first time, the people I was with asked for my reaction. I said "If God calls me home right now, it will take the undertaker a month to get the smile off my face."

She's beautiful and charming.
She is down to earth and just radiates a wholesome sensuality that has no equal.
She has personal values that I admire and respect.
She is in charge of her own life, career and priorities.

Sara Evans has made us all fall in love with her. Young, old, male and female. Every one of us. She has done that with her simple grace, charm, wit, beauty of face and stature and most of all her music.

Country music seems to continually reinvent itself and redefine what is called country. Sara is comfortable with all of it. One of the constants, however is the traditional country story song. We have just managed to hear a new song ("Backseat of a Greyhound Bus") by Sara that is in that kind of music. I think it may be about one of the best things she has ever done. Why? Because she has a voice that just becomes bigger when she sings of real people with real stories and real emotions. She makes you feel like she is singing about herself, someone she knows or touches some part of you or someone you know.

This post is also for Sara. Sara, if you visit this website, I just want to thank you for sharing that grace, charm, wit, beauty and most of all talent with us.

Marteen Van Hoosen of Nashville, TN

Marteen Van HoosenI'm one of the lucky ones who got to see Sara right from the very start. I grew up in a little town called Fayette, MO - just fifteen minutes down the road from where Sara lived. I was around 8 years old, and I went to a community thing and they had entertainment. There was this gal a few years older than me, singing away and playing the fiddle. She had these albums for sale (yes, I own not one, but two of those 45s) and was giving away pictures that she was autographing at the end of the stage. Little did I know that over a decade later she'd be signing the same photo for me at her autograph signing for Three Chords.

I saw Sara around Howard County for years. She sang at our school Barnwarming dances (those were the only country dances we had) and I always loved her voice. Then my Junior year of high school, I moved two hours away from Howard County with my family. A few years later, the local radio stations were playing this song called "True Lies." I liked it. Thought it was Patty Loveless. Later on, Mom called me and said, "Remember Sara Evans? She has a video on CMT." I didn't have cable, so the next time I was at Mom and Dad's I watched CMT, hoping she'd come on. Then - there she was! I ran around the family room in circles, totally excited!

There's only a few times Sara's played in Missouri that I haven't made it to see her. The first time I heard her live after her Three Chords album she opened for Neil McCoy at the Hearnes Center. I bought a tee-shirt and decided I was going to sneak back stage to get her to sign it. I sweet talked the doorman, sweet talked the security guard backstage, and sweet talked her fiddle player who went to her dressing room and got her. I got about five minutes of conversation with her. Was so thrilled I was standing there talking to her I almost forgot to have her sign my shirt. She finally asked me if I wanted her to sign it, and I've asked her to autograph that shirt every time I've seen her since.

Every time since then I've always been a tongue tied idiot when I go to a Meet and Greet. When I worked at the St. Louis Zoo, I brought her a little monkey. I was going to tell her she could give it Avery if he liked it, and how it came from the St. Louis Zoo, and all this other stuff. I saw her and I'm like, "Uh - uh - uh - uh - I brought you a monkey." To quote the famous Homer Simpson - DOH!

I grew up listening to country music, and I have always loved to perform music. (I was a percussionist in high school and college and I sing in bar bands - country bar bands of course). I became enamored with Sara when I first heard her sing because she was my age, but as I watched her grow up and then become more and more famous, I admired her even more. She has such a professional stage presence and I've never seen her greet her fans without a beautiful smile on her face. Every time I hear her sing live I get goosebumps. And you can tell she loves to sing. She has such a powerful energy and the audience can feel it and loves her for it.

Can't wait until her next album! But I live to hear her onstage. It's like the critics said, she's got a voice so good it's scary.

Jon Rogers of St. Albans, WV

Jon RogersADDING another voice to this favorite topic of mine. Since all my friends, family and most of this board are tired of me telling how I came to be Sara's biggest fan in West Virginia, I haven't spoken of this for a while, but, since you asked......here goes:

I am surprised to hear how many of our friends here also were not country music fans prior to discovering Sara. I am another shining example of just such circumstances as well. I NEVER, EVER listened to country music in my life prior to 2001, and I certainly never owned anything close to country. I was a serious rock music fan, growing up in late 70s and 80s with Van Halen, Pat Benatar and the like, but had no artist or group that I ever cared enough about to travel away from home to see, much less think about joining a Fan Club, collecting memorabilia and some of the other crazy things I have been accused of when it comes to Sara (of course, they are all true).

Then, in early 2001 I was flipping TV channels late one night and I saw an angel on CMT. I had heard my buddies talk about how CMT should be re-named Country Model Television as so many of the artists were babes, most with talent for only looking good, not necessarily sounding good. So, being a red-blooded male, I stopped flipping for a few seconds and listened. I was seeing Sara in the ICNAFM video. It was, of course, the voice of Sara Evans, and I had never seen her or heard her name before. Not bad I thought. Over the next few weeks I kept seeing the video over and over, because I was stuck on CMT, for sure.

It wasn't long that I just had to have that CD, and I soon became the owner of my first country music ever. Soon, I had memorized all the words to all the songs on BTF and was looking for more things Sara. I found the previous two CDs, began to read about Sara on the web, found this site, basically I was falling for Sara and her music.

Once in a while some poor stranger will hear me talking about Sara and ask the questions you did, not anticipating the diatribe they are in for. I fumble around some, but eventually get around to saying, "but she just has it", with the undefined "it" being that special quality that some people are lucky enough to possess that makes them special. It is truly that combination of talent, personality, appearance, values, life-experience, friendliness, and so many other qualities that gives Sara a permanent glow.

I have now been fortunate enough to have met Sara five times, seen six shows from Pennsylvania to Ohio to Missouri and amazingly enough, this ex-rocker is going to Fan Fair this summer. I have added a few country artists to my CD collection since that night in early 2001, and sure hope to see not only Sara but others in Nashville in June.

I cannot imagine ever going through another day now and not listening to Sara's music. It puts me in my comfort zone and I know it does the same for everyone else here as well.

Chuck Bradford of Baytown, TX

Chuck Bradford I would just like to add a few words to what has already been said. I, too, was not a fan of country music until I was introduced to Sara. That has certainly been the trend among the rest of the board buddies, and it's also true in my case. Because of Sara, I began watching CMT, setting country stations on my car radio dial, and even attending country music concerts. Up to that point, I was under the false impression that country music was about nothing more than alcohol & adultery. With Sara's music, I didn't hear that. Sure, there were the songs about heartache and loss, true to her country roots. But, I was mainly drawn to her fun, lively, no-holding-back songs like "The Great Unknown," "Born to Fly," and "Let's Dance". I also was drawn to the slower ballads such as "No Place that Far" and "I Only Have Eyes For You". I could sense so much emotion in her pure, crystal-clear voice. Soon after discovering Sara, I would listen to her sing the same songs for hours, and they would melt me every time. It was as if her voice had a hold over me.

Like Robert, I have many fond memories of listening to Sara in the car as I made my long commutes every week. When I first moved away from home a couple of years ago, it was as if Sara was right there with me, and I realized that even if I was in a strange new town, I could always pop my tape in, and fall back on her familiar songs at the end of the day. When I hear certain songs now, I feel as though I am listening to the soundtrack of my life, because it always brings to mind certain memorable things that I have associated with each tune. For example, when I hear "The Great Unknown," I think of a time that I was pulled over for speeding (ooops). As the song was building, it was as if my foot continued to push down on the accelerator with the same intensity. I guess I took the line about "firing up the motor baby" a bit too seriously.

When it comes to Sara Evans, I'm sure we have all found it difficult to express ourselves in words, because even the most articulate testimonial doesn't do justice in describing the way we feel inside. But, if I ever get the chance to speak at length with Sara, I will try my best to convey how much I appreciate her for who she is and what she stands for. To me, Sara Evans is the epitome of what a female artist should be in the country music industry--truly a role model of grace and virtue. I admire Sara for her extraordinary musical talent, strikingly good looks, and most of all, her devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ. She is a professing Christian, in an industry that sometimes makes it difficult to hold on to one's faith. Yet, Sara's example of faithfulness to her husband, her children, her church, and to her Lord, shines forth to all who know her. We should all be in prayer that she will be strengthened in her attempt at balancing the varied roles of Christian, wife, mother, artist, and even "politician's wife". Somehow Sara manages to juggle them all, while staying true to her convictions.

Furthermore, if I could sit down and have a conversation with Sara, I would thank her from the bottom of my heart for sharing her life with us, her faithful fans. In turn, we pledge to support her for many years to come. Sara has been a constant in my life for quite some time now, and it is hard for me to imagine myself becoming as involved in any other artist's career to the extent that I have become involved in Sara's. I will forever draw upon the fond memories that I have of traveling to various states to see her perform, building a website in her honor, recording every one of her television appearances, buying and collecting memorabilia from online auctions, and conversing with other fans from across the country by phone and over the internet. What an impact she has had on me, and so many others! I don't know if she will ever know just how far-reaching her influence has been.

Finally, I would compliment Sara on her humble, unassuming attitude that she has always modeled. I think her down-home, good-natured persona is what continues to draw new fans into the flock each year. That, along with her genuine, natural beauty, that is especially evident when she has no make-up on at all. Some of the best pictures I've seen of her have been candids taken during celebrity softball games, in which Sara has a baseball cap on and dirt under her fingernails. I think most would agree that they fell in love with Sara, in large part, because she's always been so approachable, so unpretentious, so humble about her sudden fame. She's always been "Sweet Sara," with that trademark, ever-present smile across her face. Fans long for a celebrity such as that: someone who has achieved celebrity status, but is still taken back by it all.

To quote something that Julie once posted, "Because Sara is such a beautiful person on the inside, she is absolutely gorgeous on the outside."

And, to quote Tiffany from her baby card to Sara, she wrote, "I know I must seem like just another face in the crowd at your shows, but if you could see my heart, it would reveal that my utmost desire is to be your biggest fan."

I think those two remarks sum up the way we all feel as "Sara's Saints & Angels."

I actually have been listening to country music long before I heard Sara...but I do feel she is the best country music singer out there. Now I was drawn to the great songs that Sara sings and writes...her beautiful voice...and when I read one of her albums' liner notes and noticed she had dedicated it to all stay at home moms, I though that was great. But when I saw Sara in concert this last June I was blown away. I expected to hear some great music...most country artists sound almost as good as their cds...but Sara actually sounds better...I could not believe it...I have been to hundreds of concerts but I have never heard anyone sound that much better in concert...and she was just an opening act. Well I had traveled 300 miles to see her and was so thrilled I decided to see her again in August this time 700 miles away...this time it was just Sara...no other acts...a full two hours of musical perfection. I appreciate that Sara gives it her all every time she performs...she is a true professional...when she sings she smiles all the time and you can see, hear, and feel the love she has for her music, her life and her faith.

Julie Miller of Tallahassee, FL

Julie MillerFOR me, Sara is spectacular! I've never really had one celebrity that I clung to or pronounced to be my favorite, except for Sara. I had seen/heard her in No Place That Far and had noticed her, knowing her name and everything from that point. However, when BTF hit the airwaves, I was hooked! It was actually just one year ago this past weekend that I was honored with meeting the beautiful lady for the first time here in Tallahassee. Her charm blew me away. It's like many people say here on this site, she just has a presence that makes everyone speechless.

Then, last September, I flew to Kansas City to see her. I was having a little withdrawal, like I am now. Seeing her live again was magnificent! More than that, the people there were wonderful! How delighted was I when she welcomed me outside her bus after her performance! It was her family time and I knew that, but she didn't turn me away. Then, when the camera wouldn't take the picture due to low light, I can still remember standing next to her, arms around each other, saying, "Thank you." Thank you so much for doing this. You are so amazing and your performance was great!" Also, the embrace she gave me after I gave her our basket still sends chills down my spine whenever I think about it. It was a wonderful experience and I can't wait to do it again! I'm really big on personality, and Sara tops the chart!

Robert Ehlers of Chattanooga, TN

Robert EhlersHOW much time can I spend on my tribute?? Many of the reasons why I admire Sara will echo those already expressed. I grew up in the plains of Iowa, and my father listened to country music. I was raised hearing Hank Williams Jr, Kenny Rogers, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, and similar artists. My interest in radio began in 1985, and two years later my family moved to central Florida. Over the years I have gone through many genres including: R&B, Rock, 70's, 80's, Easy Listening, Classical, Grunge, Contemporary Christian, and everything in between. I never really gave any thought to country during my teen years; in fact, during that separation I professed to "hate" country. Then another dramatic change took place in my life: I moved to Tennessee! I started listening to country off and on, but I still wasn't a true fan. I moved back to FL after 3 years. After deciding that I would move back to TN again, I started listening to country again. The lyrics and music brought back so many memories from TN!

I vividly remember my first time hearing Sara on the radio, while working behind the parts counter at Discount Auto. I was already familiar with ICNAFM from the original artist. When I heard Sara's crystal clear, pristine voice, I felt nothing short of amazement and awe!! I was waiting for the radio DJ to announce the artists of each song, but I didn't catch who sang the enchanting song. Eventually I found out that Sara Evans was the voice that I had heard. I went to Wal-Mart soon after and picked up BTF. I remember the first time I listened to the album in its entirety. There are no words to describe what I felt. It was as though Sara reached into my heart, pulled out each emotion, and set the lyrics to music. When I saw Sara for the first time on the BTF cover, I was pulled even farther into this journey. The question has been posed before, whether our initial attraction to Sara was her physical appearance or her musical talents. Mine was struck with her voice.

During the long drive back to TN from FL, I listened to BTF many times over. It was spinning in my radio as I crossed the line from GA into TN. To me it was very symbolic of the new life I was starting. I had left behind my closest of friends and family, to follow the path that God laid out for me. In this journey we call life, Sara has been there to see me through. When I am feeling lonely and blue, wishing my true love was with me, I can find solitude in Sara's music. Or when I've been through a difficult day, she's there to comfort me. Sara sings about real life, and that's something all of us can relate to.

I started posting on the message board in October 2001. I became a Fan Club member in November, and saw Sara in concert the same month. I was too late to get into the meet and greet though. I finally met Sara in Huntsville in March 2002. I hand-crafted a thank you card for Sara. Unlike most who meet Sara the first time, I had thought about what I wanted to say, and was able to talk, despite my total excitement!! I asked her if there was anything I could pray about for her, and she was very thankful for that. Sara possesses such an amazing amount of energy and compassion! Even though she was undoubtedly concerned about the upcoming concert and who knows what else, for that short moment of time, she gave me her undivided attention. I walked away feeling that Sara sincerely cared about me.

I'd be dishonest if I admitted to not liking Sara's appearance. I have come to a very logical conclusion though. I had a crush on my fourth grade teacher. She had long dark hair, like Sara. My first intense infatuation was with a girl from church, who once again had long, dark hair. I also liked my tenth grade Biology teacher, which you can guess had dark hair. There's an obvious pattern here! Just to add to what has already been said. Sara's beauty is natural and genuine. She doesn't have to flaunt her looks to attract a wider audience.

As I began to learn more about Sara, my admiration only grew. Like others on this webpage, I share the same values and Christian beliefs as Sara. We need more role models like Sara in this world. She isn't afraid of her beliefs, but she doesn't beat you over the head with them either. I love her dedication and commitment to her family and husband. Basically, Sara is just like us in so many ways. We haven't been blessed with her talent, but we can all relate to Sara. She has a wonderful presence both in person and on the camera. She is both business savvy and conservative. There are so many things that could be said about Sara, but most of all, we appreciate Sara because she is genuine and real, on and off stage.

Jim Kane of West Monroe, NY

Jim Kane I was never a country music fan growing up. My friends and I used to make fun of it...the 'twang' and all. Now it's just about all I listen to. As I get older, I can relate more to the life experiences told through the music.

One day, back in 1995, I picked up a copy of Garth Brooks 'The Hits' and my perception changed. This was good stuff. I started listening to country more and I even found myself watching CMT on occasion. That's when Shania Twain hooked me and reeled me in for good. Being a red-blooded male, the attraction was obvious.

In my pursuit of Shania videos while watching as much CMT as possible, I came across this songstress singing about a song on the radio. 'Three Chords and the Truth' became my break-out song. The same kind of music I made fun of as a kid was now my favorite. Her first album remains my favorite to this day. I met Sara last year in Verona, NY and was not disappointed...down to earth and real...a complete woman and a heck of a singer.

Mark Langworthy of Columbia, MO

Mark Langworthy 1. I think I was aware of her music for a while, but the Born to Fly single made us pay attention to her: bought the album. We loved the whole thing. Played it over and over again. Found out she was from Central Missouri - thought it would be nice to support the local talent. As a result bought her other two albums (and we now plan to buy those compilations in which she was involved, and can't wait for her new album). Played those albums over and over. Love virtually every song on all three.

2. We've seen her in concert twice (Columbia and Sedalia). Could not ask for a better live performer (I just wish they'd been longer, and hadn't been interrupted by 2nd tier acts like Kenny Chesney and Lonestar).

3. We met her in New Franklin on 7/4/02, and she was very sweet to our family, despite suffering from pregnancy-related nausea.

4. I love the fact that she is a Christian, doesn't back down from it, and praises the Lord through her music. She does so in an unassuming way and without embarrassing the listener.

5. Yes, of course, I think she is very pretty. I love to see her photographs and videos, and for those who haven't met her, she is even prettier in person. I met her mother in New Franklin, and she comes by her beauty honestly. I think her beauty may help further her career, but it isn't the main point. There are a lot of pretty women in country music. Very few are in the same league with Sara for musical gifts, and none are quite as talented.

6. Most importantly: I love the style of her music, her song selection, the quality of her voice, the message within, and the passion with which she performs. She has voice quality, control, and range. I can always imagine she is singing the song from the heart and that the emotion is real. I sense playfulness in "Born to Fly", "If You Ever Want My Lovin'" and "I Keep Looking"; true, heart-felt love in "No Place That Far" and "Three Cords and the Truth"; her strong faith in "There's Only One" and "The Week the River Raged"; true remorse in "Why Should I Care"; and the range of emotions generated by under-requited love in "You Don't". I've found that she, herself, has written the songs on her albums I like the best. I like the songs from other music writers she does too, but my favorites always turn out to be Sara Evans' own material. She is definitely more than a performer.

Her future:

I hope she keeps on the same course. I know money is to be made in cross-over work, and to the extent she pursues it, I will buy it, listen to it, and cheer her for it. I'm sure it will be great. However, I hope she doesn't abandon her roots if she goes in that direction, because, to me, her country music represents the best part of our world, and anything else, would necessarily be of lesser meaning and quality, enjoyable though it may be.

Dan Freer of Winter Park, FL

Dan Freer I became a Sara Fan mainly after hearing "I Could Not Ask For More"...then went out and bought the Born To Fly CD. I was hooked after that. Such a great CD.....probably the only CD I have where every song is great! I have a bunch of CDs from many artists, and they usually contain some "filler" (ie..songs that aren't very good). Could not say that for Sara's BTF CD.

Until a few years ago the music I listened to was either classic rock or classic country. I really didn't get into the newer country until, well, Sara. Actually I probably wouldn't have listened to the newer artists if it wasn't for Sara. Before that the only country I listened to was Dolly, Hank Jr, Willie, Waylon, Don Williams, Oak Ridge Boys, Alabama, and some others.

My first country concert: I saw George Strait in 1984 in Plainview, TX. It was about the time George became a huge star. Now, I have all of Sara's CDs and even some CDs where she appears on (Clinch Mtn. Sweethearts, Johnny Staats Project - Wires And Wood). Oh, and I am waiting for her latest CD to come out.

Also, what I really like about Sara is all the positive things she stands for: family, faith, traditional American values, and other nice things....all the while being hip and cool with the younger generation. Her videos are a good example of this.....Sara can be a total babe in her videos without being suggestive...in this day and age not easy to do for a lot of artists, it seems.

I have met Sara at a few Meet N Greets...I am usually such a babbling idiot...but Sara puts up w me, I guess ;) I'd say the most memorable Meet N Greet was the one in West Palm Beach FL last year when I had my Clinch Mtn. Sweethearts CD liner autographed....I think Sara really liked it that someone had a bluegrass-type recording of hers. This was also just after her Opry performance during Bluegrass Week at the Opry (in which she totally mesmerized the Opry audience and TV viewers with her performance...sill the highest-rated Opry show CMT has aired).

Hey, Sara is the only artist I have heard live sing "Muleskinner Blues" and the Go-Go's "We Got The Beat"....there ain't nobody else on the planet that can sing both and sound so good doing it ;-)

Brandon Smith of Prattville, AL

Brandon Smith I have been a fan since May of 1999 when one of my friends talked me into going to see Sara. Needless to say, it was a great experience. We were there 8 hours early to be on the front row. Since that time I have followed her career and music. I was attracted to Sara by first impression of her beautiful looks and her great voice. What really made me attracted to her, however, was when I finally got the opportunity to meet her in person. She was so sweet and down to earth. I met her on the George Strait festival and she could not believe I had traveled all that way just to meet her. I took her a rose and in return I got a hug and a kiss on the cheek! She was so nice. I met her once again last year on the Chesney tour and she was the same sweet Sara. I have a lot of respect for her, her talent, her great personality, her appreciation for her fans, and her great family values. Sara is a class act and I expect and hope for even greater things from her in the future.

Don Lockart of Valdosta, GA

Don Lockart I grew up listening to rock n roll, then pop music and some country pop thrown in, and then I've listened to soft rock and contemporary Christian music. But I've always listened to some country, just didn't care for Country & Western or "hillbilly" music.

Started listening to more country when Shania hit it big with her "Every Man" CD and videos. Started listening to Faith, Reba, Trisha, etc. Started watching CMT and began to put faces with names, and names with songs. It was probably 1998 or early 1999 that I really started getting into country. Most of it was brand new to me, even if it was a few years old. I started watching Martina, Mindy, Chely, and of course Sara. Sara's video of "No Place That Far" just enchanted me. I watched a CMT special of "Girls Night Out", with Martina, Mindy, Lori and Sara. Even though Lori Morgan was the established star and Mindy and Martina probably had more hits and name recognition, it was Sara that turned my head. (I may be the only one who LOVED the video for "Crying Game").

The rest of 1999 I became more of a fan of country music. Went to my first country concert on July 4th, 1999 featuring Martina. It just blew me away...what a wonderful experience. Started buying music and watching CMT every chance I could get and started going to more concerts. Over the nest several months I saw Terri Clark, Aaron Tippin, Jo Dee, Lonestar, the Wilkinsons, Kenny Rogers, and others.

In 2001 I made the decision to go to Fan Fair. By this time my two favorite artists were Sara and Chely Wright. I got the chance to see both up close signing autographs and interacting with their fans. Chely was nice and friendly, but Sara was in a class by herself. She was so gracious, took time with children and the handicapped, and seemed to be genuine in her actions. And then it happened...

Sara looked straight at me, smiled and waved while I took her picture...WOW, I am in love and have been ever since. I know Sara gives that smile and wave and effort to all of her fans, but the fact she made that moment with me so special hooked me for life. Since then I have gotten to meet Sara twice in Meet and Greets and I have not been disappointed. I even gave her a present the first time I met her--a Cracker Barrel apron with her name on it. (I am a manager at a Cracker Barrel in Valdosta, GA). She seemed so happy to receive it, gushing over it to the point of saying it was her favorite restaurant, and how happy she was to have it. She even gave me an extra hug before I left the Meet and Greet line. When I met her again a month or so later, she said she had the Apron hanging up in her tour bus. How cool is that...a part of me traveling the country with Sara Evans!!!

The fact she is a devoted Christian, wife and mother makes me love her and admire her even more. Her family values and beliefs are in line with me and my family. Sara is a blessing to me personally and so many others also. Plus, Sara is a Brunette, and according to my friends I have a thing for Brunettes. Anyway, I hope you understand how special Sara is to me and all of her other "Saints and Angels". We can't wait to see her again.

Missy Milen of Warren, OH

Missy MilenWHAT attracted me to Sara was her "I Could Not Ask For More" song. When I first saw the video for that song, I loved it so much! That was the summer of 2001 when the song was still in the top 20 on CMT. I was going on a trip to Indiana and I wanted to buy her cd before I left because I loved her voice so much. I didn't get to buy it, but when I got to Indiana I did and I loved all of her songs. I kept watching her video when it came on while I was there. My friend's family thought I was a weirdo because I liked CMT. Anyway, then I came home and bought the rest of Sara's cd's. I found that I liked all of the songs and I have loved Sara's singing ever since. Her voice is so wonderful.

WHY SARA?

Well I grew up with Sara. She was a couple of years older than I was but she was always there. We were in the same school, the same choir at times. I think the best thing about Sara is that she was always a good-hearted person. She was always sincere and kind. I can remember her singing. She had a beautiful voice then...I really think that her sound has changed a little but it works for her and look at all the people that look up to her and stand behind her.

I admire her. It is difficult for small town people to go anywhere. Sara never let that get in her way... she made it out of New Franklin and into a place where she always dreamt she would be. I admire her ability to be that person that people look up to and that person that everybody loves.

I have to admit the only time I have seen her in concert is when she was at Hearnes in Columbia last year. That was a wonderful concert and I know she had a lot of hometown support because everywhere I looked there was somebody that I knew.

Good luck Sara in the brilliant future that you have!!!
